Home and dry after a fantastic weekend at Pembrey Circuit with the Pickup Truck Racing Championship.
Two pole position qualifying times started the weekend off well, with rain starting to fall on the Welsh circuit. A 1.03.523 provided me with my best lap of the weekend as the Morris Lubricants Racing Pickup Truck was on song straight away.
Race one was hard fought, with 50kg of ballast of board, but we brought the truck back to take the race win in the wet weather.
Sunday brought more rain, and added ballast, where we started 6th on the grid to take a second place finish in the race.
And finally, the third race of the day, again in the wet, again with a 6th place grid start and 70kg on board. Extreme spray brought very difficult driving conditions, but the 43 truck battled through the carnage and we took a second race win of the weekend.
As always, a massive shout out to my team, sponsors and supporters who make this possible. The championship is now very tight at the top but we’ll be doing everything we can to make each point count. This weekends results bring us to 3rd in the championship.
